'ECO-NOEING'
- Eco-tours in canoes
Eco-noeing is the original canoe trip on the beautiful Ord River, established in 1991 and formerly called Kimberley Canoeing Experience. Since then it has built a great reputation as a scenic and rewarding self-guided adventure, and a fantastic opportunity to experience this unique environment firsthand.
Originally only offering a 3 day tour we have grown with our 12 seat 'rescue' boat 'Crocodilly', to also offer one and two day trips, all of which were recognised as official eco-tours in 2003. So choose from the tours below knowing you will be enjoying a fabulous outdoor activity and ensuring it will remain as pristine and spectacular for the future. |

'SUNRISE-SUNSET'
- One day tour - $150pp (2007)
A magical day on the upper Ord River begins with a 75km drive from
Kununurra to Lake Argyle. After a short stop to view this huge man-made
lake you are off on the gently flowing Ord for 23kms, cutting through
the magnificent Carr-Boyd range in a 2 person Canadian canoe. We supply
an esky to keep your lunch and drinks cool and a watertight barrel
for your camera. During the day you can paddle, swim or photograph
as much as you like, then after 2.00pm our boat will pick you wherever
you are on the river - maybe you'll make it to camp!
After pick-up your guide will take you bushwalking
to explore secluded hideaways and swim in crystal clear waterholes,
and on the 32km boat journey back to Kununurra you'll see Kimberley
creatures in their natural habitat, plus an unforgettable sunset. |

cooking and eating utensils and another larger barrel for you to
pack your clothes, food, drinks and any other items that you bring
along.
Your second day is spent exploring, with the
help of the map supplied, indicating where to find waterfalls, swimming
holes, bird-life and sandy beaches - the day is yours to take in
the majestic scenery of the Ord and all it has to offer. At 4.30pm
